RWBY - Volume 4 - Ruby Rose - Equaliser

"Ruby! RUBY! WAKE UP! WAKE UP! PLEASE!"
"Ah... ah... she, she ruined them, she ruined them and got away... She is out there, the broken moon, the grimm, the shadows, her name..."
"Ruby, listen, please, calm down, just calm down, it was a nightmare!"
"I... I know, I know... but it's the truth, all of this, it wasn't an accident, but, why?"
"Ruby, listen, listen please, if there is something I learnt about monsters is that only the mindless ones attack in the open, this thing, whoever, or whatever it is, it has been working to break us all... to crack us open and divide us... oh... I don't want to think about it."
"I know, I am scared too, Yang, Pyrrha, Penny, Beacon, the hunters, the soldiers, the kingdoms..."
"That's... That's it! Don't you see?"
"See what? What? It's either fear or... Or... The blood boiling... I mean, oh... wait, hold on a second..."
"Yes, yes, you got it? She, it, they, this thing, it FEAR us, they are afraid of mankind, they know we are no longer prey!"
"Then... Then... I don't know, I... let us rest for a while, we may figure something out."
"All right... you know, I hope the nightmares go away."
"I hope that too... But for that to happen, we will have to face them."

Volume 4 has been announced and many things are going to change in the world of Remnant, truth to tell, I wasn't expecting the whole redesign of the characters, but then, after one year of time skip I guess it was a good moment for some clothes changing, sadly no news about prosthetics for Yang or the possibility to resurrect Penny, and I suspect Pyrrha will not come back, I honestly don't know, we may say there is "magic" in the world of RWBY, but there is also this sense of finality which has helped the story to mature, and I think the series is more and more about character maturing and becoming adults, and that's not bad.

Sometimes it's too late to save someone, and sometimes you will have to face those things which scare you the most, it's ok, you are afraid, you back away, but then again, I tell you, use your brain, you are not cattle, you are not prey, people prosper not just because they face their fears, but because they figure out a way to defeat and overcome those situations and things, may not work the first time, so?

Keep trying, let's try to make this a better place for everyone.

Ruby will keep trying, and more than the fancy suit and the cool weapon, that's what I like of her, ok, I like the other stuff too.

By the way, I have no idea who she was talking to, maybe herself? Maybe someone of RNJR? Anyone else? Let's see how the story goes this coming October.
