Scrin Study Part 1Scrin Study
The Scrin are a strange form of sentient life, organized in a way similar to some kinds of Earth insects, such as ants, but with far more complex castes. One can only imagine how they came to be what they are, though their apparent expertise on genetic alteration of Tiberium-based lifeforms may play a part of it.
The Scrin cannot be studied as one race, due to the extreme variations between the various sects (castes) that they are organized in. However, each sect has certain racial similarities that allows one to identify two completely different Scrin caste forms as the same race.
Scrin biology is unique from every other form of life as yet discovered in that it is Tiberium-based, and not carbon-based. That fact in of itself is a difficult thing to wrap one's head around, since the virulent green crystal is death to any carbon-based lifeform.

and trade all of my working parts
for your leftover, fading pieces
but i just haven’t figured out how.
